G4V Song Sung True: A Veteran's View w/Scotty Hasting

TUESDAY, MAY 21, 2024 AT 7:30 PM CDT

The G4V Learning Center welcomes Scotty Hasting who makes his second appearance on Song Sung True: A Veteran’s View. It’s been an incredible year for Hasting since we first spoke with him in March 2023: A Nashville record deal, a new collection of recordings, performing live all across the country, TV appearances, music videos, and even billboards all over his hometown of Nashville! Join us as G4V Instructor, Tom Lamog sits down for a virtual conversation with Scotty today, May 21 at 5:30pm PT / 6:30pm MT / 7:30pm CT / 8:30pm ET.

Not one to lay down and accept defeat, the former Army Infantryman with the 1st Infantry Division 4th Squadron 4th Calvary picked up the unused guitar that sat in the corner of his room, opened YouTube, and set out to teach himself how to master the instrument in hopes of fighting the isolation and silence. Hasting was immediately overtaken by this new passion after learning his first song, "Should've Been a Cowboy," by Toby Keith. He began to write his own original music and attended his first open mic night in Cookeville, TN —a night that changed his life forever as he found that he was able to escape his PTSD while on stage performing.
