Combat Veteran, Singer/Songwriter, and G4V Ambassador Scotty Hasting returns for a 2nd visit to Song Sung True: A Veteran’s View with G4V Instructor, Tom Lamog and G4V’s Director of Online Learning, Paul Lilley to share some of the experiences he’s had on his musical journey including signing a record deal with Black River Entertainment, shooting music videos, meeting Garth Brooks, opening for Dave Grohl and Jelly Roll, exciting events on the horizon, along with previews of “How Do You Choose”, “I’m America”, “Runnin'” and “Whiskey in the Bottle”. A few laughs, technical glitches, Q&A, and a few surprises.
Since 2007, our organization has refined a guitar instruction program aimed at providing Veterans struggling with physical injuries, PTSD, and other emotional distress a unique therapeutic alternative. G4V pursues its mission to share the healing power of music by providing free instruction, a new instrument and an accessory kit in a structured program run by volunteers, in concert with our community partners.
