DESCRIPTION:G4v is so excited to be back with Rachel Harvey Hill to teach us about songwriting! \nRachel was a recent guest on the G4v/CAVARTS  Song Sung True series where we learned that she has written over 700 songs! \nShe has offered to share an hour with us delving into why she loves song writing and how she approaches the craft of creating original music on the guitar; including the four tactics she uses to start the creative process.  \nRachel is a Nashville based songwriter whose writing style has been described as “heart-warming” and “imaginative”. Her multi-genre song catalog is influenced by her strong faith\, her life as a military spouse\, and her journey of motherhood.  Rachel is a Bluebird Cafe “Golden Pick” winner and  has been recognized as a “Ones to Watch” by the Nashville Songwriters Association International. Additionally\, she was the 2019 winner of the pop/rock category in the New England Songwriters Competition for her song “Like Lightning.”  \nCheck out Rachel’s newest release\, the haunting Barkley Lake.
